Job summary

Georgetown Surgery Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join our perioperative team. You will scrub, assist the RN circulator, set up and break down procedures, and ensure supplies and equipment are prepared for each case.

The role requires CST certification, NBSTSA verification, and BLS as per ASC policy, with potential for handling instrument counts, specimen handling, and patient positioning support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• CST certification verified via NBSTSA.
• BLS certification (as required by ASC policy).

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper supplies, equipment, and instruments are ready for use.
• Clean operating room between cases.
• Restock operating rooms as necessary to meet par levels.
• Assist other operating rooms for coverage.
• Prepare cases for the next day.
• May operate sterilizer, lights, suction machine, and other designated equipment.
