Job summary

Community Medical Center in Missoula, MT, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a full-time Days schedule. The Surgical Technologist will prepare sterile fields, assist the surgeon, and support the surgical team through aseptic technique and instrument handling.

The ideal candidate holds an AS degree in Surgical Technology, NBSTSA certification, and preferably 1 year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited program.
• National Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA).
• Preferred 1 year surgical technologist acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Completion of case carts.
• Proper communication with operating room staff.
• Cleaning and care of operating rooms, core, and equipment.
• Decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of instrumentation.
• Surgeon preference card maintenance.
• Supply outdates.
• Weekday and weekend call coverage.
