INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK seeks a Night Shift Certified Surgical Tech (CST) for full-time work from 2100 to 0730. The role involves supporting the surgical team, maintaining sterile technique, and instrument handling under licensed staff.

A sign-on bonus is offered up to $10,000. The ideal candidate holds CST or NCCT-TS-C/AST-CST certification, or may be non-certified if they completed a surgical tech program or have at least 1 year scrub experience.

Qualifications

• BLS certification issued by a recognized provider within 60 days of hire.
• CST certification or equivalent (NCCT-TS-C or AST-CST) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintains sterile field under supervision and supports the surgical team.
• Understands procedures and anticipates team needs during surgery.
• Checks supplies and equipment for procedures and prepares sterile tables.
• Scrubs, gowns and gloves as required and passes instruments during surgery.
• Assists with instrument counts, instrument preparation and sterilization prep.
• Aids in cleaning and preparing instruments for sterilization and terminal room cleaning.

Responsibilities

The Surgical Tech is an allied health professional who supports the surgical team in delivering care to patients in a variety of settings. They assist in preparing surgical areas, managing instruments and supplies, and ensuring sterile techniques under the supervision of licensed surgical staff. This role is suitable for individuals beginning their careers in surgical services or transitioning from other clinical or patient care roles.

The Surgical Tech responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assists in maintaining the sterile field under supervision.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the procedure and supports surgical team needs.
• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Scrubs, gowns, and gloves appropriately.
• Sets up sterile tables with instruments and supplies under guidance.
• Performs instrument and sponge counts with the circulator.
• Passes instruments during surgery.
• Aids in cleaning and preparing instruments for sterilization.
• Supports terminal cleaning of rooms and preparation for the next procedure.
• May retrieve and transport medications (no preparation or administration).

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of hire
• NCCT-TS-C (Tech in Surgery-Certified) OR AST-CST (Certified Surgical Tech)
• May consider a non-certified tech that has completed a surgical technology program or has at least 1 year of scrub experience
