Community Health Systems seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (PRN) at Granger Surgery Center to collaborate with the surgical team and maintain a safe OR environment. Responsibilities include preparing ORs, maintaining sterility, assisting with instrument handling, and supporting instrument counts under RN direction.

The role requires CST certification, BLS, and 0–2 years OR experience, with a focus on infection control and procedural readiness.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to maintain efficient workflow.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares the operating room by ensuring instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready as per procedure and physician preference.
• Maintains a sterile field throughout procedures using Universal Precautions and aseptic technique.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments and supplies accurately during surgeries.
• Handles instruments and equipment per manufacturer instructions and hospital policy, including inspection and sterilization.
• Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts in collaboration with the circulating nurse.
• Assists with patient positioning, draping, and transfer under RN direction for safety and readiness.
• Maintains physician preference cards and procedural documentation for accuracy.
• Restocks supplies, cleans and returns equipment, and prepares rooms for next cases.
