Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center in Midlothian, Texas, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support operating rooms and surgical teams. You will sterilize instrument trays, stock supplies, and ensure equipment is clean and ready for procedures.

This PRN (as needed) role requires a high school diploma and, ideally, completion of a sterile processing program or surgical technologist training. Certification by HSPA or CBSPD is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program OR Surgical Technologist Program OR on the job hospital training program.
• Certification by HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives fills and delivers supply orders, processes and sterilizes instrument trays.
• Cleans and inspects patient equipment, gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts.
• Operates equipment and computer systems, inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts.
