Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a Decontamination Tech to support the SPD in Camden/Cape May Court House, NJ. You will decontaminate instruments and prepare sterile supplies for patient care, while maintaining strict infection control standards and accurate records.

The role requires CST Certification or CSP/CSPT pathway preferred, with a schedule of 2pm-10pm across five shifts weekly. Prior OR or central supply experience is a plus; strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CRCST Certification preferred; CSP Certification may be considered.
• Previous sterile processing or decontamination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates instruments and patient care equipment to provide sterile, ready-to-use supplies.
• Performs sterilization functions and maintains sterilizer records and test logs.
• Maintains accurate procedure records and reports malfunctions to supervisor.
• Adheres to hospital policies, infection control, and PPE requirements in all tasks.
• Responds to STAT requests and supports department scheduling and maintenance.
• Operates equipment in SPD safely and uses systems to track inventory and case information.
