Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Reston Surgery Center is hiring a Certified Instrument/Sterile Processing Tech. Under RN supervision, you will provide sterilized, properly cleaned instruments and supplies to support patient care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

You will monitor sterilization cycles, keep accurate logs, and report deviations to the OR Coordinator and Nurse Manager. Prior experience and BCLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• One year experience in surgical instrument sterilization processing.
• Valid BCLS Certification required at employment.
• Certification and knowledge of AAMI and ASHCSP standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterilization and cleaning of instruments and equipment.
• Ensure a sanitary environment for patient care.
• Follow manufacturer instructions for sterilization methods across instruments.
• Perform high-level disinfection of endoscopy equipment.
• Maintain daily logs and test disinfection solution efficacy; conduct biological testing.
