Job summary

Roaring Fork School District is seeking a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year. The district office in Carbondale, CO, will host a full-time SLP who diagnoses and treats speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for students aged 0–21.

You will develop individualized plans, educate families, and collaborate with the Special Education team. The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Colorado licensure eligibility, and ASHA

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or equivalent (required for Colorado Department of Education licensure).
• Must be eligible for licensure through the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certification preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients aged 0-21.
• Assess abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapy using evidence-based practices.
• Educate and support patients and families.
• Maintain comprehensive records and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).

Classification: Certified Exempt - Full-Time (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week)
Contract Period:185 working days.

Salary Range

• *$56,809 to $89,509 (Based on education and years of relevant working experience) *The annual salary listed above is based on a full-time, 8-hour workday (FTE 1) and a full working calendar. For positions with less than a full FTE or reduced hours, such as part-time or late-start positions, the salary will be prorated accordingly.Certified Salary Schedule

Position Overview

• The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will diagnose and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients aged 0-21. They will assess patient abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapy using evidence-based practices. The SLP will also educate and support patients and families, maintain comprehensive records, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and supervise the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).

Necessary Credentials

Physical Requirements

• May include, light travel, standing and walking for extended periods; bend, stoop, and lift materials; reach for supplies on high shelves; use manual dexterity for tasks like writing and using technology; communicate clearly and effectively with students; climb stairs in multi-level buildings.
