Community Senior Centers is seeking a fitness instructor to provide group fitness instruction through Enhance Fitness programs at community centers for older adults, ensuring a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.

Must be 18+, obtain an NCCA-accredited certification or Fit Tour within 90 days, acquire CPR within 90 days, and pass fingerprint background checks with RAP Back per policy. The role may require travel to various class sites and hours vary with the schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.
• Must obtain Fit Tour Group Exercise instructor certification or other NCCA-accredited group fitness certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must pass fingerprinting background check and RAP Back program per County policy requirements.

Responsabilités

• Teaches scheduled classes with proper warm-up, workout, and cool down.
• Instructs on proper techniques, demonstrates exercises, and educates on safety and muscle groups.
• Prepares equipment, music, and handouts for each class.
• Organizes class space and stores equipment, returning room to original arrangement.
• Assists patrons, answers questions, and maintains a positive exercise experience for members and participants.
• Keeps management informed of customer and facility needs.
• Ensures safety standards are met and adapts exercises to individual abilities.
• Participates in training opportunities provided by the sponsoring organization.
