Job summary

The Hempfield School District seeks a Certified School Nurse for East Petersburg Elementary School and Farmdale Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The nurse will plan, implement, and evaluate mandated health services in alignment with state codes and the Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities include health concern treatment, referrals, health education for students and staff, plus wellness and safety programs to promote healthy lifestyles and use of community resources.

Qualifications

• PA Certification as School Nurse K-12 is required.

The certificated school nurse initiates student and staff health education, wellness, and safety programs that promote healthy lifestyles and the utilization of community resources. The School Nurse Standards include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, implementation, planning and evaluation.
