HCA Florida Capital Hospital in Tallahassee seeks a Certified RN Surgical First Assist to join the Surgical Services team. The role entails assisting the surgeon in the operating room, coordinating perioperative care, and ensuring patient safety through sterile technique and accurate identifications.
The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Florida (or multistate) with CNOR and RNFA certification, plus 5 years acute care experience or perioperative training.

We are seeking a dynamic First Assist RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to perform as the surgeon’s assistant in the operating room, during evaluations, procedures, care management, and follow-up. You would be part of a phenomenal team that works hard to support each other while providing excellent care to our patients in a collaborative manner.
Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
BLS-AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start.
CNOR preferred.
Certification as RNFA required.
Minimum 5 years previous experience or completion of Perioperative Nursing course required.
