WellStar Health System in Georgia seeks a Retail Pharmacist to oversee daily pharmaceutical and financial activities within the pharmacy, ensuring adherence to OBRA90, federal, state laws and WellStar policies.
You will supervise pharmacy technicians, manage inventory, counsel patients, coordinate with physicians, and ensure accurate dispensing and third-party processing. Requires a BS in Pharmacy and active pharmac(y) licensure.

Technicians will work various shifts covering normal operating hours. Monday - Friday 7a-8p, Saturday 10-6 & Sunday 11-5. Will float between Cobb and Kennestone Hospital
The Retail Pharmacist shall plan, organize, and supervise all pharmaceutical and financial activities occurring in his/her respective pharmacy. Such proceedings shall comply with the policies and procedures established by the WellStar Health System, federal, state and local laws governing the practice of pharmacy, and the rules and standards established by the regulatory agencies (e.g. JACHO, Medicare, etc) involved in provision of health care. He/She shall function under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services. Participates in policy and procedure development regarding improvements, and departmental operating systems and procedures. Responsible for Control Medication Storage and Tracking to Include, but not limited to: outdate tracking, pharmacy's inventory, controlled substance inventory control. Maintains quality control and safety reports needed to support effective operations. Will comply with OBRA90 and provide directions and instructions to patients and family members seeking information on prescription drugs. Will oversee Pharmacy Technician and their daily duties.
Ensures compliance with all Federal and State rules and regulations that pertain to the scope of practice of a retail pharmacy.
B.S. Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
