Infor in Michigan seeks a Respiratory Therapist to perform respiratory care clinically and diagnostically in the Cardiopulmonary department under supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

The role requires a Michigan license and RT certification, with BLS, and preferred ACLS/NRP/PALs. Proficiency in inhaled medications and modalities is expected, along with EMR charting and patient assessments.

Formación

• State of Michigan license.
• Respiratory Therapy certification.
• BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Graduate of an AMA accredited educational program for respiratory therapists.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• ACLS, NRP and PALs certifications preferred.
• Competency in administration of all inhaled medications and modalities.

Responsabilidades

• Perform bedside spirometry, pulmonary mechanics and pulmonary function tests.
• Perform and evaluate EKG and Holter monitoring.
• Perform and evaluate EKG stress testing if trained.
• Conduct prescribed respiratory therapies.
• Manage ventilated patients and adjust as indicated.
• Work with the EMR for charting and patient assessment.

Job Summary: Performs all aspects of respiratory care clinically and diagnostically that the Cardiopulmonary department provides under the supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Essential Functions:

• Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
• Performs and evaluates bedside spirometry, pulmonary mechanic and pulmonary function tests.
• Performs and evaluates EKG and holter monitoring.
• Performs and evaluates EKG stress testing, if trained.
• Conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures.
• Manages ventilated patients and makes appropriate changes as indicated.
• Works with the EMR for charting and patient assessment needs.

Minimum Qualifications: State of Michigan license; Respiratory Therapy certification; BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Graduate of an AMA accredited educational program for respiratory therapists and one (1) year of clinical experience is preferred. ACLS, NRP and PALs certifications are preferred. Must demonstrate competency in administration of all inhaled medications and modalities.

Working Conditions: Potentially exposed to infectious disease.

Physical Requirements: Constantly see/visual acuity, talk/hear, lift/carry 50+ lbs. Frequently stand, walk, reach, push/pull, handle/grasp/feel, bend/twist, stoop/kneel/crouch.
