Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality respiratory care within our integrated New Jersey health system. You will assess patients, administer oxygen and aerosol therapies, manage ventilators, and perform arterial blood gas analysis.

You will collaborate closely with physicians and nurses, respond to respiratory emergencies, and provide patient and family education.

Qualifications

• Active NJ Respiratory Therapist license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and formulate care plans.
• Administer oxygen and aerosol therapies as prescribed.
• Manage ventilators and monitor patient response.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and document results.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses in patient care rounds.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide education to patients and families.
