Job summary

AMIkids Tampa is seeking a Certified Resource Teacher to join the Education Team. You will deliver targeted instruction in small groups or one-on-one, using customized learning tools to meet each youth’s needs within the applicable grade level.

You will collaborate with teachers and administrators to monitor progress, draft goals, and report on student growth while adhering to district and AMIkids standards. A strong commitment to safety and positive youth development is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Current Teaching Certification in assigned subject area – reading and/or math preferred, or willing to earn.
• Teaching or coursework experience with youth; experience with youth preferred.
• Adapt and create customized learning tools to address cognitive needs.
• Evaluate progress and analyze testing data to determine learning plans.
• Collaborate with teachers to provide targeted, small-group instruction.
• Adhere to standards per AMIkids and contract providers.
• Uphold Kids First, Safety, and Family values in interactions with students.
• Attend training and maintain required certifications (CPR/First Aid).

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted, small-group or individualized instruction by adapting materials to address cognitive needs.
• Collaborate with the Education Team to address youth’s educational development.
• Establish small groups (1–5 youth) to bring deficiencies to grade level.
• Draft goals and prepare progress reports.
• Maintain curriculum standards and safety requirements.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development.
• Provide accommodations based on IEP and 504 plans.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
