Job summary

New Radiance Cosmetic Centers, in partnership with AMP, is opening a brand-new Palm Beach Gardens surgery center and seeks a per diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). You will work with surgeons and the medical team to prepare solutions, administer anesthesia, monitor patients, and support airway management.

The position offers per diem engagement with flexible scheduling based on the surgical calendar.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Florida APRN license is required.
• CRNA certification is required.
• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association are required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre- and post-anesthesia visits and documents anesthesia notes.
• Reviews medical history and evaluates patients to determine anesthesia methods.
• Performs diagnostic tests such as radiographs and EKGs as needed.
• Monitors anesthesia delivery and patient vital signs during procedures.
• Manages airway and ventilation, including intubation and extubation when necessary.
• Oversees patient recovery and post-operative needs.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Responsibilities:

• Performs pre- and post-anesthesia patient visits and documents anesthesia notes on patient records.
• Reviews medical history, evaluates patients, and determines proper methods of anesthesia.
• Performs or evaluates diagnostic tests, such as radiographs (x-rays) and electrocardiograms (EKGs).
• Measures and monitors the level and speed at which anesthesia is administered.
• Monitors patient vital signs to ensure safety, including skin color, pupil dilation, pulse, heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, ventilation, and urine output.
• Informs the surgeon of the patient's condition during anesthesia.
• Manages patients' airway or pulmonary status using techniques such as endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, pharmacological support, respiratory therapy, and extubation.
• Oversees patient recovery from anesthesia and cares for the patient's immediate post-operative needs.
• Prepares prescribed solutions and administers local, intravenous, spinal, or other anesthetics following specified methods and procedures.
• Responds to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering fluids or drugs, and using basic or advanced life support techniques.
• Develops anesthesia care plans.

Requirements & Experience:

• Valid State of Florida APRN license required.
• Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) required.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires frequent standing, walking, and bending during surgical procedures.
• Frequent talking and listening when communicating with surgeons, patients, and the surgical team.
• Requires manual dexterity and fine motor skills for administering anesthesia and managing airway equipment.
• May require lifting or assisting with the movement and positioning of patients.
• Requires the ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
