Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for locum tenens coverage in North Carolina. Start ASAP with a pay rate of $206.61 - $223.65 per hour. The assignment runs from 01-03-2027 and continues ongoing, with weekend and daytime 12-hour shifts available.

Inpatient and outpatient cases are included across multiple surgical specialties, with Epic for charting. Candidate must be board certified, hold North Carolina licensure, and meet the listed certification

Qualifications

• Board-certified CRNA with North Carolina license.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/ABLS/other advanced life support certifications required.
• Fellowship training may be required.
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient surgical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases, including gynecology, orthopedics, cardiac, vascular, and neurosurgery.
• Attend to preop and postanesthesia care as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain patient safety and documentation in Epic electronic medical records.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth OR turnover for 8- to 12-hour shifts.

This facility is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: 01-03-2027 - Ongoing; weekend coverage every Saturday and Sunday, 8- or 12-hour shifts; daytime coverage 3 12-hour shifts per week, non-consecutive, typically Monday/Thursday/Friday or Monday/Tuesday/Friday

Practice Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient

Types of Cases: Gynecology, orthopedics, cystoscopy, general surgery, cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, healthy pediatrics, endoscopy, obstetrics, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, stroke cases, electrophysiology, and other acute cases; no regional anesthesia required for obstetrics

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days

Electronic Medical Record: Epic

Certifications Required: Board Certified Nurse Anesthetist; Advanced Burn Life Support; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support; Basic Life Support; Pediatric Advanced Life Support; fellowship required

Licensure Required: North Carolina license only
