Role Description

This full-time, on-site Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) role is based in Onaga, KS and supports surgical and procedural services across the facility. The CRNA will provide safe, effective anesthesia care, including pre-anesthesia assessment, selection and administration of general anesthesia techniques, intraoperative monitoring, and post-anesthesia evaluation. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with surgeons, physicians, and nursing staff to develop anesthesia plans, managing airway and hemodynamic stability, and responding to emergent situations. The CRNA will also participate in quality improvement activities, maintain accurate documentation, adhere to regulatory and safety standards, and support patient and family education related to anesthesia and perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in anesthesiology and general anesthesia, including assessment, planning, administration, and monitoring.
• Strong nursing skills with a focus on perioperative care, patient advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Solid foundation in medicine and surgery to support safe anesthesia management across a variety of surgical procedures.
• Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and valid Kansas APRN license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program and compliance with continuing education requirements.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making in high-acuity settings.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical teams, and to work effectively in a rural, team-based environment.
• Experience in rural or community hospital settings is beneficial; commitment to compassionate, high-quality care is essential.
