Certified/Registered Medical Assistant at US Pediatric Partners. As a CMA/RMA, you will assist medical providers in providing the highest level of quality patient care, including patient work‑up, lab collection and procedures within your scope of practice. These duties are performed in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and the established priorities and procedures of the practice.

What a Day Looks Like as a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart.
• Instruct patients about medications and special diets as instructed by the medical provider.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients.
• Prepare patients for examination.
• Assist the physician during patient exams.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Perform basic laboratory tests.
• Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Perform blood collection following established procedures and utilizing universal precautions in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Remove sutures and change dressings.
• Maintain all logs and required checks in accordance with assigned duties (e.g., refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.).
• Process messages from patients and front office staff to providers.
• Meet position requirements and perform essential functions.
• Complete all mandatory training as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate commitment to superior customer experiences with a service‑oriented attitude.
• Collaborate with others to coordinate care, resolve concerns, and address the needs of patients, family members, physicians and employees.
