Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Solon, OH seeks an Athletic Trainer to manage and provide care for athletes and active individuals under physician oversight. The role focuses on injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation, serving a diverse range from children to seniors.

Required: degree in athletic training, Ohio licensure, and BLS certification (or within 90 days). Prior ATC experience preferred. This on-site position supports our sports medicine and rehab teams.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree with a major in Athletic Training.
• Possess current Athletic Training license in the State of Ohio.
• Possess current BLS certification, or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Professional experience as an Athletic Trainer Certified.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a licensed physician or physical therapist, assumes responsibility for the management and provision of care to an athlete to prevent, correct, alleviate injuries.
• Athletes may include any individual, ranging from children through geriatric populations, who participates in sports, games, recreation, exercise or other activity that requires physical strength, agility, flexibility, speed, stamina, or range of motion.
