Job summary

Wesley Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant to join our patient-centered team in Wichita, KS. You’ll assist with therapeutic exercises and mobility training, guided by licensed PTs, to restore function and independence.

You’ll work with nurses, aides, and PT staff to ensure safe, effective care, document patient responses, and educate families on home programs. BLS within 30 days and LPTA license are required.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) credential required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to ensure safe, effective care.
• Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
