Job summary

UT Health East Texas is seeking a day shift, full-time Certified Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Athens, TX rehabilitation team. You will work in an interdisciplinary setting to deliver patient-centered therapy across age groups, with emphasis on assessments and treatment planning.

The ideal candidate is a PTA graduate with Texas licensure; 3–5 years of acute or outpatient experience is preferred, and you will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to improve patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an PTA approved Associates degree program.
• Current professional license active and valid in the State of Texas.
• 3-5 years’ experience in acute or outpatient setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist Assistant shall be responsible for providing a full range of age appropriate physical therapy services including assessments, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.
