FWTW INC in California is seeking a California-certified Physical Therapy Assistant to join our clinical team. You will provide direct patient care, guide therapeutic exercises, and record progress under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

Responsibilities include administering interventions, assisting with mobility, monitoring patient responses, recording progress, reporting to supervisors, and educating families on home-care exercises and safety.

Qualifications

• Current California state licensing for physical therapy assistant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive, nurturing environment.
• Familiarity with Webpt EMR.
• The ability to work well and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Applying Interventions: Administer treatments like soft tissue massage, balance training, and modalities such as heat or cold therapy.
• Assisting with Mobility: Help patients safely use assistive devices like walkers, crutches, or braces.
• Monitoring Responses: Observe patient reactions during treatments and modify activity levels as needed within the care plan
• Recording Progress: Log patient status, session data, and milestone achievements after every visit.
• Reporting to Supervisors: Discuss patient responses and any new concerns directly with the supervising physical therapist.
• Educating Families: Teach patients and their families home-care exercises, safety precautions, and post-treatment limitations.
