Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is recruiting Phlebotomists to support a VA Medical Center and VA Outpatient Clinics at the Martinez clinic in Martinez, CA. This multiyear, full-time position specifies a schedule that may change at the direction of Ansible or its customers.

Requirements include CA CPT I/II license, completion of an approved phlebotomy training course, AHA CPR/BLS, and at least 1 year of recent patient service tech/phlebotomy experience; 2+ years preferred.

Qualifications

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Phlebotomists to support a VA Medical Center (VAMC) and VA Outpatient Clinics.Positions are available at the Martinez VA Outpatient Clinic located at 150 Muir Road, Martinez, CA 94553. Responsibilities

• Performs proper specimen collection and labeling procedures used for routine and special procedures in a clinic or hospital setting
• Performs all standard laboratory techniques related to phlebotomy such as correcting patient identification, proper collection of samples (volume, tube type, temperature and/or timing conditions) and collection of specimens for urinalysis, 24-hour urines, toxicology and microbiological (sputum and urine), all defined within the standard operating procedures
• Must accession all specimens in receiving area and ensure timely transport and distribution of specimens to all sections of the laboratory for immediate processing and testing; if unable to deliver samples due to peak workloads, contacts sectional personnel to transport samples

Qualifications

• American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years as a patient service technician/phlebotomist
• 2+ years of phlebotomist experience in an acute care setting is preferred
• Proficiency in the following: blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, urine drug screen collections, paternity collections, breath/saliva alcohol testing, LCM/Cyber Tools, TestCup, pediatric blood collections, and difficult draws

Pay Range

$18.14 - $31.10 hourly

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
