Job summary

Kpc Global Medical Centers Inc. in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Part-Time Certified Phlebotomy Technician. You will perform venous and capillary specimen collections, ensure proper labeling, and transport specimens for testing in a fast-paced hospital lab setting.

Typical duties include clerical support, maintaining patient records, and assisting with inventory. A CA CPT license is required, with BLS and MAB certification due within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: One (1) year experience general acute experience preferred.
• Current CA CPT License required.
• BLS and MAB certificate required (90 days upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Follows proper procedure in specimen collection, identifying the patient and labeling the specimen.
• Collects blood specimens by venous and capillary puncture with proper technique.
• Transports specimens and ensures receipt by the testing department.
• Performs computer-related tests in a correct sequence and completes tasks timely.
• Maintains patient and department records, files and charges; distributes lab reports.
• Participates in orientation of new team members and assists with supply orders and inventory control.
