Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX. The role involves drawing blood, labeling specimens, and transporting them to the lab, with 8-hour evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Current and valid CPT I certification required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for blood draws and ensure comfort and safety.
• Collect blood using venipuncture or capillary puncture with proper ID and labeling of specimens.
• Organize, transport, and store specimens for testing.
• Adhere to quality control and safety protocols to ensure accurate results.
• Maintain and calibrate phlebotomy equipment and supplies.
