Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens by venipuncture per SOP.
• Verify patient identification according to SOP at all times.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized phlebotomy area and cart.
• Participates in training students and new staff and completes training checklists.
• Communicates with physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff to ensure timely specimen collection.
• Performs LIS order entry and completes specimen accessioning and processing as required.
