Job summary

Under licensed pharmacist supervision, you will handle the institutional distribution system, operate Omnicell and other equipment, and contribute to patient care with confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician (RPHT.NE) or CPHT with timelines per state.
• Certified by state or national Pharmacy Technician cert program (CPHT/NC) is required.
• CPHT IA within 1 year for Iowa registration.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage medication requests and notify the pharmacist.
• Manufacture, package and label drug products.
• Perform aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures (excluding chemotherapy).
• Operate and manage automated dispensing/compounding systems (Omnicell).
• Assist in training and orienting new pharmacy staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide high-quality customer service.
