Job summary

The GIANT Company is looking for team members in our Front Royal, VA pharmacy to fill prescriptions, help customers, and manage daily store tasks. Team members must be state or nationally certified where required and ready to perform duties with accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include data entry, dispensing medications, answering phones, and maintaining PPE and inventory. This role requires compliance with pharmacy rules and continuing training as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must meet state required minimum age.
• Must be able to successfully complete background check and drug screening.
• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• Must have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift and prepare required supplies and PPE.
• Move totes, unpack incoming supplies, and place items on shelves.
• Clean shelves, check inventory, and inspect product expiration dates.
• Assist customers and answer telephone calls.
• Verify customer identifications for products when required.
• Complete the prescription filling process, including data entry and dispensing.
• Maintain required licenses or certifications and immunization credentials if applicable.
