Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacy assistant who will support pharmacists under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and perform duties to ensure safe, accurate dispensing. You will assist in processing prescriptions, handling patient information, and supporting cashiers and technicians.

The role emphasizes delivering a distinctive customer experience, strong math and computer skills, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a retail setting. Prior Walgreens experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions by entering patient and drug information and ensure accuracy.
• Assist in inventory management and clerical duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience and resolve customer issues.
