Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Currently registered or eligible to be registered as a pharmacy technician or intern/extern by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP).
• Active registration required prior to date of hire.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by PTCB or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing activities and inventory control.
• Maintain daily pharmacy operations: answer phones, assist customers, enter charges, stock medications, and keep area clean.
• Perform sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding.
• Utilize Lawson, McKesson, Omnicell; AWS and CPM systems.
• Conduct monthly clinic unit inspections.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure safe medication storage.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
