Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health's Maryview Medical Center Outpatient Pharmacy is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to join a collaborative, patient-centered team. The role involves preparing pharmaceuticals, inventory control, compliance audits and customer service under the Pharmacist.

The ideal candidate holds ExCPT or PTCB certification and a high school diploma; prior retail/ambulatory or hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• Valid ExCPT Certification and PTCB certification/registration with State Board of Pharmacy required.
• Experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions
• Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with guidelines
• Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine
• Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy
• Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies
• Other duties as assigned
