Job Summary

The Certified Pharmacy Technician supports the efficient operation of the pharmacy department by preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing guidance to less experienced technicians. This role functions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and may include responsibilities for controlled substances, billing, and precepting new staff.

Essential Functions

Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role. AND Associate's Degree in related healthcare field (Preferred)
Licenses/Certifications
  • LPT - Licensed Pharmacy Tech Registration or licensure as a Pharmacy Technician with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy required, where mandated by state law. Upon Hire (required)
  • PHAR-C - Certified Pharmacy Tech National pharmacy technician certification from an accredited certifying body (PTCB or NHA) Upon Hire (required)
Experience
  • 3-5 years experience as a pharmacy technician (preferred)
