Job summary

Frankfort Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support medication processing, inventory, and patient care within the hospital pharmacy. The role involves order fulfillment, IV admixture support, and clerical tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• CPhT certification is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacist-Intern or Pharmacy Technician license (PHARM-Intern/PharmTech) required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a courier for retrieving and delivering med orders, medications, restock automated dispensing cabinets, and required paperwork.
• Answers telephone, takes messages, answers routine non-clinical questions and routes orders or questions to a licensed pharmacist.
• Process wholesaler orders, returns and invoice payment by current method.
• Perform some secretarial functions and assist the lead technicians.
• Assist the DOP in maintaining security of the pharmacy and scheduled drug control throughout the hospital.
• Assist the Director in drug procurement, receiving, storage, inventory control and floor stock control.
• Fills med orders, refills carts, and floorstock, and mixes IV medications for the Admixture service.
