Job summary

Riverside Mental Health and Recovery Center in Hampton, VA, is seeking a Part-time Pharmacy Technician II to assist in pharmacy operations, support pharmacists, and provide excellent customer service. The role includes automation filling, inventory activities, and compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates have a pharmacy technician training program, at least 2 years of experience, and current VDHP/PTCB/ExCPT credentials.

Qualifications

Program Graduate, Pharmacy Technician Training program or equivalent (Preferred).
2 years Experience as Pharmacy Technician (Required).
2 years Pharmacy Technician in practice area (e.g. Hospital, Retail, Specialty) (Preferred).
Registered Pharmacy Technician - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire(Required).
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) PTCB or ExCPT Upon Hire(Required).

Responsibilities

Performs automation fill functions accurately and timely.
Assists pharmacists in dispensing functions (prescriptions, matching labels, and filling floor requisitions).
Provides customer service excellence by addressing the customers' needs regardless of assignment.
Monitors/supports departmental productivity to meet the needs of the department (flexing hours, shift changes and time off).
Participates in inventory management and drug security.
Completes all required training. Maintains required certifications and licenses.
