Baton Rouge General is seeking a pharmacy technician to support pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and upholding accurate records for all age groups served. Qualificações

• 1 year of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trainee Certification or Pharmacy Technician Certificate from the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.

Responsabilidades

• Fill medication orders, surgical kits, carts, requisitions, and specialty items accurately.
• Prepare and compound sterile and non-sterile products per USP 797 and 795 standards.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care areas promptly.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, rotating, restocking, and replacing medications and supplies.
• Prepackage medications for pediatric and neonatal use per policy.
• Input medication orders, charges, and credits into the pharmacy computer system.
• Answer phones professionally, handle window requests, and deliver STAT medications as needed.
• Maintain required logs and records and ensure documentation is filed appropriately.
• Conduct medication storage inspections and cycle counts as assigned.
• Complete all other assigned duties and maintain required job competencies.

What You Will Do:

• Fill medication orders, surgical kits, carts, requisitions, and specialty items accurately and in compliance with policy
• Prepare and compound sterile and non-sterile products in accordance with USP <797> and <795> standards
• Deliver medications and supplies promptly to appropriate patient care areas
• Assist with ordering, receiving, rotating, restocking, and replacing medications and supplies
• Prepackage medications for pediatric and neonatal use per policy
• Accurately input medication orders, charges, and credits into the pharmacy computer system
• Answer phones professionally, handle window requests, and deliver STAT medications as needed
