Job summary

Avita Care Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician in Lexington, SC. The role supports Pharmacists by typing and inputting prescription orders in a central fill and retail pharmacy, including insurance billing and claim resolutions.

The position requires SC BOP registration with a current certification, 30+ wpm typing, and strong data-entry accuracy. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with potential for variations based on workflow and patient needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred in a related health field.
• 1+ year of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Current SC Board of Pharmacy registration.
• State Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
• National certification preferred.
• Proficient English with strong communication skills.
• Typing 30+ wpm with high accuracy.
• Experience with insurance claims/billing and rejections.
• Familiarity with PioneerRx, QSI; EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• Positive attitude, energetic, flexible, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Remove drugs from stock, count and pour as needed.
• Affix labels to containers and repackage when required.
• Verify insurance benefits and resolve issues with claims/rejections.
• Interact professionally with patients and team members.
• Answer calls and make outbound calls to patients, providers, insurers.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Handle POS transactions and reconcile daily totals.
• Identify problems and provide practical solutions.
• Uphold company values and goals.
• Additional duties as needed.
