Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician in Lockbourne, OH to support our pharmacy operations and deliver accurate medication fulfillment. You will work with pharmacists to dispense prescriptions, refill kiosks, and ensure compliant, safe handling of medications across locations.

The role requires a valid pharmacy technician license, national certification, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Drive from physical Pharmacy locations to remote Pharmacy Kiosk locations with company vehicle.
• Refill Pharmacy Kiosks with medication, paper, clean machine, and collect discarded inventory for return.
• Prepare inventory shipments for Kiosk replenishment.
• Assist pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Work daily with Leadership to ensure the right medications are put in the right orders.
• Run automated machinery required to pre-sort and package medications.
• Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription items.
• Pack and ship completed orders including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser, shipping boxes.
• Sort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right time.
• Aid the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacists with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing.
• Clean, and help maintain, equipment and work areas within the pharmacy.
• Package medications for dispensing and for delivery.
• Work a flexible schedule - shifts will possibly start and end outside of normal site business hours.

Key job responsibilities

• Transition Amazon Pharmacy orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality control
• Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription items
• Pack and ship completed orders including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser, shipping boxes
• Sort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right time
• Aid the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacists with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing
• Clean, and help maintain, equipment and work areas within the pharmacy.
• Package medications for dispensing and for delivery
• Work a flexible schedule - shifts will possibly start and end outside of normal site business hours

Physical Requirements

During shifts last up to 12 hours (standard full-time shifts are 10 hours excluding overtime, flex and part-time shifts may vary):

• Driving for long periods of time (8+hrs)
• Standing, bending, reaching above the head, kneeling, crouching and/or stretching
• Lifting and moving products up to 49 lbs in weight
• Manual dexterity of hands and wrists

Basic Qualifications

• active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license (or equivalent trainee/assistant license) in state of employment
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6+ months of working with computer and web based tools experience
• Valid and active driver's license
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor
• Ability to read and understand English language labeling on product cartons and prescription labels
• Clean driving record that passes Amazon's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Checks (to be rechecked annually). Driving privileges will be revoked if your DMV reports indicates you have received a ticket for one or more of the following violations: Evading responsibility, Being at fault in a fatal accident, Having two or more motor vehicle accidents in the last three years, Having a motor vehicle accident resulting in greater than $5,000 in damages, Driving under the influence or in any way impaired by alcohol or drugs, Reckless Driving, Recurrent speeding violations, Recurrent driving suspensions, Three or more driving violations within the last three years
