The role requires active Utah Pharmacy Technician License, hospital experience, IV compounding, and BLS (AHA). Exposure to Pyxis automation and unit-dose preparation is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have active Utah pharmacy technician license.
• Prior pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Experience with IV compounding.
• BLS (AHA) certification preferred.
• Inpatient hospital experience is required.
• Utah Pharmacy Technician License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing orders.
• Refill Pyxis and manage medication inventory.
• Perform sterile and nonsterile compounding, including hazardous meds.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and verify unit-dose preparation.
• Support unit-dose preparation and distribution workflows.

We're hiring an experienced pharmacy technician for a contract job where your expertise will directly support pharmacists in delivering exceptional care. In this position, you'll play a vital part in ensuring patients receive the medications they need-by assembling, stocking, and distributing them with precision and care.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have State License to Apply
• Prior Pharmacy Experience
• PTCB Preferred
• BLS (AHA)
• Utah Pharmacy Technician License
• Inpatient hospital experience
• IV compounding experience

Assignment Details

• Schedule follows a 7-on, 7-off rotation.
• Wednesday through Friday: 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
• Saturday through Sunday: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
• Monday through Tuesday: 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holiday coverage required when scheduled week overlaps a holiday.
• Covers inpatient pharmacy and all areas of the hospital.
• Responsibilities include automated dispensing cabinet refills, sterile and nonsterile compounding, hazardous medication compounding, medication delivery to nursing units, and unit-dose preparation.
• Pyxis used for automation.
