Hy-Vee Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Certified to assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications while delivering outstanding customer service. The role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and active participation in the pharmacy team to support patient care.

The ideal candidate will hold a national technician certification, maintain CE requirements, and be able to perform duties from prescription processing to insurance claim submission in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Must have logical/scientific thinking to solve problems.
• Able to perform arithmetic calculations including algebraic tasks.
• Able to compose original correspondence; follow manuals; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service; treat customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smiles and greets customers; learns and uses customers' names when possible.
• Assists in patient data gathering and prescription preparation, including labeling and mailing where applicable.
• Assists pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing and handles insurance claims.
