Qualifications

• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, medication preparation, and compounding techniques.
• Proficiency in operating pharmacy systems, including automated dispensing machines and inventory management software.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in preparation, compounding, labeling, and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounded medications using aseptic techniques per USP guidelines.
• Maintains inventory, monitors stock levels, orders supplies, and conducts regular audits to prevent shortages.
• Keeps accurate records of dispensing, inventory transactions, and controlled substances per regulatory standards.
• Participates in quality assurance activities to ensure patient safety and proper pharmacy operations.
• Provides customer service by addressing questions from patients, nurses, and staff about medications and services.
• Operates and maintains pharmacy equipment, including automated dispensing systems.
• Supports pharmacists in medication reviews and history reconciliation as needed.
• Follows safety protocols and infection control guidelines to maintain a secure pharmacy environment.
