Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis, TN, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing medications under pharmacist supervision. You will fill medication orders, assist with inventory, and ensure accuracy and safety in the drug distribution process.

Candidates must be a certified pharmacy technician with Tennessee licensure; ExCPT or MS licensure are a plus. Strong math, computer skills, and familiarity with pharmacy systems are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Candidate must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) and licensed by the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy.
• ExCPT certification is preferred; Mississippi Board of Pharmacy license is a plus.
• Other licenses in states may be preferred per role responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Fills medication orders under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assists with inventory and stocking of medications in the pharmacy and patient care areas according to established pharmaceutical protocol and procedures.
• Provides routine information and responds to requests within scope of responsibility.
• Maintains records and files in accordance with pharmacy practice standards.
• Follows established procedures for medication safety, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.
• Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.
