Job summary

Ochsner LSU Health System in Shreveport, LA seeks a Pharmacy Technician to fill orders, prep IV admixtures, and manage medication stocks under supervision. You’ll enter patient orders into the pharmacy system, review physician orders, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Fills medication orders, charges/credits all medication, stocks, delivers, and inspects assigned areas.
• Prepares IV admixtures and other extemporaneous compounds and enters TPN orders into the computer system.
• Maintains competency in professional growth and responsibilities.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including privacy and communication.
• Other related duties as required and ensuring regulatory compliance.
