Job summary

Tanner Health, located in Georgia, seeks a third-level Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and the pharmacy department in delivering medication services and pharmaceutical care to patients and customers.

Candidates should be a Certified Pharmacy Technician or Georgia Registered Pharmacy Technician with a HS diploma, several years of related experience, and strong teamwork, communication and problem-solving abilities. Immunization certification in GA is required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a basic written competency examination.
• Solid knowledge of medications: brand and generic names, dosage forms, common dosages, and common uses.
• Ability to interact and work well as part of a team oriented environment.
• Ability to work well in high volume, high stress situations.
• Adapts positively to changes in workload and/or work schedule.
• Must exhibit leadership skills of being a good listener, being a good communicator, have the ability to make sound decisions, and being a good problem solver.
• Desire to learn and excel through technician leveling program.
• Must exhibit a warm, friendly, and caring professional demeanor.
• Must have completed the educational requirements and received certification to administer immunizations in the State of Georgia.
• Three Years of related experience in a healthcare facility or six years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
