Job summary

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs seeks a Pharmacy Technician II Certified to support the daily workflow under a pharmacist, distributing medications and preparing prescriptions while assisting with compounding IV solutions and inventory management.

You will maintain aseptic technique, handle controlled substances, perform clerical tasks, and stay informed of department changes and Joint Commission standards to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• 6 months compounding of IV medications.
• Registered Pharmacy Tech in the state where employed (PHARMTECH:XX).
• Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, distributes, and delivers medications per policy and regulations.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of daily dept. operations.
• Maintains medication and supply stock; operates automated delivery systems.
• Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains documentation.
• Trained and certified in IV admixture, including handling of hazardous/chemotherapy meds as applicable.
• Performs related duties as required.
