Job summary

Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in medication preparation, stocking, and ensuring barcode accuracy. The role reports to the Director and runs Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, inventory control, and ensuring proper storage of pharmaceuticals. A current Oklahoma license or eligibility within 30 days is required; Phase I training may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Willingness to undergo Phase I Technician training and obtain the license.

Responsibilities

• Order, verify receipt of, and store pharmaceuticals and supplies using generic, brand names and warehouse index numbers.
• Check incoming stock orders, complete receiving reports, ascertain damage, overage or shortage and complete reports.
• Assist pharmacist in providing medication, drug information and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel.
• Perform monthly inspections of clinic care areas to check for outdated pharmaceuticals, proper storage conditions and appropriate stock levels.
• Inventory control tasks including monitoring, pricing, dating, invoicing, stocking, and preparation of purchase orders.
• Maintain supplies of working stock in the outpatient pharmacy to complete requisitions.
• Rotate stock in pharmacy and on nursing units to assure maximum usage of dated stock.
• Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
