Job summary

VASA Fitness in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Personal Trainer to guide clients through customized strength and conditioning programs, whether one-on-one, semi-private, or small group sessions.

You will design training plans, assess progress, and help clients build confidence and consistency while delivering safe, energetic, and inclusive workouts.

The role offers base pay plus session pay with competitive benefits including gym memberships and opportunities to earn certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology or an NCCA-certified PT credential.
• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
• Excellent communication and a caring, optimistic approach.
• Passion for health, wellness, and fitness training.
• Past fitness sales experience preferred.
• Previous personal training, group fitness, or coaching experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and adapt training programs for clients.
• Deliver safe, effective, and engaging personal training sessions.
• Guide members through fitness assessments and wellness check-ins.
• Create a welcoming, energetic, and inclusive atmosphere on the gym floor.

As a Personal Trainer at VASA, you'll be more than a coach--you'll be a guide on each client's fitness journey. You'll design and adapt training programs, provide fitness coaching, and motivate clients with energy and care. • COMPENSATION: Pay is reviewed quarterly with opportunities to increase as you add certifications, hours, and clients!
  • Base: $15.00/hour + session pay (average ~$20.00/hour).
  • Session Pay: $27-$76 per hour depending on group size, certifications and experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology OR NCCA-accredited Personal Training Certification

• Excellent communication skills and a caring, optimistic approach
• Passion for health, wellness, exercise science, strength and conditioning, and fitness training
• Fitness sales experience preferred
• Personal training, group fitness, or coaching experience preferred, but not required--we welcome all levels
