Job summary

ATC Healthcare Services in Macon, GA is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to provide paraprofessional social services to patients and families, participate in treatment team planning, and perform crisis intervention. This full-time role (36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts) requires a high school diploma and a CPS certificate.

You will document daily notes, support clients, coordinate referrals, monitor safety, and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Fingerprint-Based Background Check of Georgia and Federal Criminal History Records
• Drug Screening
• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Certified Peer Specialist certificate

Responsibilities

• Provides a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families, participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention.
• Assists in dealing with personal and social problems of clients.
• May provide supportive counseling to consumers and families and/or serve as a liaison for social services.
• Prepares lesson plans for group topics, maintains medical records and documents daily group notes.
• Performs case management duties, and group skills training and refers clients to needed services and resources.
• Monitoring clients for safety issues and concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
