  • Age must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Background check must be passed.

Responsibilities

  • Recovery support: help individuals develop treatment plans and recovery goals.
  • Collaboration: communicate with referral sources, guardians, and professionals about progress.
  • Referral assistance: connect clients with outside resources as needed.
  • Scheduling & transportation: assist with scheduling appointments and provide transportation when necessary.
  • Documentation: accurately document peer services per state and CARF standards.
  • Crisis intervention: provide crisis support when distress occurs.
  • Group education: facilitate recovery-focused sessions as scheduled.
  • Professional development: complete 36 hours of training every two years.
