Job summary

Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems in Exton, PA is seeking a Full-Time Peer Support Specialist to assist individuals in community-based services. The role provides peer support, practical guidance, and helps people pursue stability, wellness, employment, education, and community connections.

You will collaborate with clinicians and other providers to promote person-centered care. Benefits include flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associate's Degree with at least 1 year of experience in a human services-related field.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Certified Peer Specialist Training
• Peer Specialist Certification (Required)
• PA Criminal Clearance
• PA Child Abuse Clearance (if applicable)
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance
• Valid Driver's License
• Not listed on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion lists

Responsibilities

• Provides peer support using lived experience to help others feel understood, hopeful, and less alone.
• Offers practical guidance (e.g., coping strategies, navigating services, building routines) based on what has worked for them personally.
• Supports recovery goals by helping people set and work toward goals like stability, wellness, employment, or community connection.
• Builds trusting, nonjudgmental relationships and encourages self-advocacy and independence.
• Works alongside clinicians and community providers to share insights and promote coordinated, person-centered care.
• Helps reduce isolation by connecting people to groups, resources, and community activities.

Job description

Pay Rate: $18.00 /hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
